Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Hotel Transfer

Following your arrival at Entebbe international airport, your designated driver guide will pick you and drive you to Kampala the capital. On the way you will see lots like road side markets, serene vegetation types, steel and tube factory, homesteads among others.

Upon arrival in the city sign in to the option of available accommodations:

  • luxury: Serena,
  • Mid range: Hotel Africana
  • Budget: Namirembe Guest House.

If you arrive on a Wednesday, Friday or Sunday, we will take you for an evening cultural tour to Ndere cultural center for a full evening of fun and different cultural performances and have you back at your hotel in  time for dinner.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, your savvy driver guide will pick you from your Hotel and drive you west words to kibale National Park. On the way you will still be seeing road side markets, serene vegetation, Homesteads among others.

You will have a stopover at Fort Portal town for lunch after which you will visit amabere ganyinamwiru, a family owned stalagmites site including caves and a waterfall.

You will also go for a nature walk to the crater lakes with impressive views of the Rwenzori Mountain’s foothills. Proceed to Kibale forest arriving in the evening.

Upon arrival sign in to the lodge option of your choice where you’ll be staying for 2 nights:

  • Budget: Rweteera Safari Park.

Meals – Dinner

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest

After breakfast, our driver guide will take you to the park headquarters for briefing and proceed for chimpanzee tracking near Kanyanchu. This can take you half a day. On the trek you can also encounter on other primates like the golden monkey, L’Hoest monkey, baboons, white and black colobus monkeys, grey checked mangabey, red colobus, blue monkeys and pottos. Other animals include forest elephants unique from the common type, giant forest hogs and a striking tree species.

Return to your lodge for Lunch and later go for a guided nature walk to Bigodi wetland, a good site for bird viewing if your interested. Here you will spot on birds like the Great Blue Turaco, Papyrus Gonolek can easily be marked among other 137 bird species. There is also a collection of butterfly species to be seen. Return to your lodge for relaxation.

Day 4: Kibale — Bwindi impenetrable national park.

After an early breakfast with packed lunch, Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest, the home of gorillas, driving through Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National park famous for tree climbing lions and other wildlife. Continue to Bwindi arriving in the afternoon.

Upon arrival sign in to the safari lodge option of available for the next 2 nights:

Meals — Dinner

Day 5: Mountain gorilla tracking in Bwindi

After an early morning breakfast with packed lunch, head to the park office headquarters for a vital briefing prior to trekking the gorillas in the thick impenetrable forest. You get to spend an hour with the gorillas after having trekked them for about 2-8 hours. On the Gorilla trek expect to see other wildlife in the thick forest like the forest elephants, several species of antelopes among other animals. After the trek, you head back to the starting point and receive your gorilla trekking certificate. Transfer back to the lodge and freshen up.

Meals — Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 6: Bwindi – Entebbe – Return

After an early breakfast, transfer back to Entebbe. Another chance yet to see homesteads, serene vegetation types, different bird species among others.

A stop over at Mbarara town for lunch. After proceed to Kampala with another stop at the Equator for photograph taking. From here drive straight to the Airport to take your out bound flight back home.
