You’ll visit some of the natural wonder big names like Murchison Falls, the mountain gorillas in Bwindi, chimpanzee excitement in Kibale and meet with some of the communities that have managed to preserve their culture through modern times without contamination. Detailed Itinerary

 Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Kampala:

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your driver – guide will receive and transfer you to one of your choice of the following hotel options:

  • Luxury: Serena Hotel,
  • Mid-range: Protea Hotel,
  • Budget: Namirembe Guest House.

Meals — Dinner

Day 2: Kampala – Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast in your hotel, our driver- guide will come and meet you to start on your journey northwest to Murchison Falls National Park, the largest protected area in Uganda. A stopover in Masindi town for lunch after which you continue to the park traverse the serene vegetations, homesteads, road side markets among others.

Upon arrival in the park, drive straight to the top of the falls to see the most spectacular water falls squeezing through a 6m gap in the rock crashing through a narrow gorge with unbelievable power. If lucky you can see the rainbow cutting across the wide Nile River.

Day 3: Game drive and Boat cruise on Victoria Nile

After breakfast, you will go for an early morning game drive in search for those animals that are unique to the African Savannah like giraffes, antelopes, lions, elephants, the Uganda kobs among others. The bird life is also impressive, with the eagle and the rare shoebill being among the appreciated sightings. During your game drive, you will also be able to see the Congo Blue Mountains.

Return to the lodge for lunch.

In the evening, you will go for a boat cruise on the Nile River. The cruise takes you to the bottom of the thundering falls where you will see huge crocodiles, schools of hippos, buffaloes, elephants and a variety of water birds among others.

Return to the lodge.

Day 4: Murchison – Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, transfer to Kibale through Hoima and Fort portal towns on the shadow of the mountains of the moon, south west via the Albertine escarpment of the western rift valley. Drive through Hoima the town of the Bunyoro Kingdom passing through green country side, tea plantations and traditional homesteads among others. A stopover in Fort Portal town for lunch after which you proceed to the park. You have to chosse one of the following safari lodge options and checkin

Luxury: Kyaninga Lodge,

Budget: Kibale Forest Camp.

Meals — Breakfast Lunch and Dinner

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale National Park

After breakfast, report to the park headquarters for briefing and proceed for chimpanzee tracking near Kanyanchu. This can take you half a day. There are other primates in the area like the golden monkey, L’Hoest monkey, baboons, white and black colobus monkeys, grey checked mangabey, red colobus, blue monkeys and pottos. Other animals include forest elephants unique from the common type, giant forest hogs and a striking tree species.
